Maaike studied Criminology at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and started her career in Financial Fraud Prevention at the Dutch Banking Association (NVB) in 2008. From 2011-2016 she worked at ABN AMRO’s Security Department as Prevention Advisor (advising and training both colleagues and clients in fraud awareness and prevention) and as Fraud Analyst.

In 2016 Maaike made a career switch to do more with her planning and organising skills. She started working as Management Assistant and Office Manager at Qwinq, making sure everything behind the scenes was running smoothly. Since 2019 Maaike works at BFC providing backoffice support and refreshing BFC’s corporate identity.
